Partex Group Chairman MA Hashem on life support

Live Correspondent: Founding chairman of Partex Group and a former lawmaker MA Hashem is now on life support at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka after contracting coronavirus.

He was hospitalised on December 11, but on Wednesday afternoon, his oxygen saturation dropped below 100 and he was put on life support. His condition is still critical and is currently undergoing treatment at the ICU of the hospital.

According to Aziz Al Kaiser, son of MA Hashem and City Bank chairman, his father was admitted to Evercare Hospital on December 11 following Covid-19 infection.

MA Hashem was put on life support as his oxygen saturation dropped below 100 on Wednesday, Aziz Al Kaiser said, adding that no other family members have been infected and the next situation will be known after 24 hours. He also sought blessings for his father’s recovery.
