Black money strengthened stock market

Live Correspondent: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said the stock market has strengthened with the inflow of the black money.
“The additional liquidity has also increased the flow of money in the stock market,” said Kamal while placing budget at the parliament on Thursday.
He further said under the provision of allowing previously undisclosed income to invest in the capital market with some reasonable conditions like mandatory one year lock-ins, 311 taxpayers have paid income tax of Tk 435,452,098 as of February, 2021.
“As a result, the flow of money in the country’s capital market has increased and the capital market has become stronger.”
The stock market indices had seen significant rise recently, with Dhaka Stock Exchange index crossing 6,000 point after 39 months.
