Live Correspondent: The results of the long-awaited 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) written examination have been published on Thursday afternoon.

Some 13,000 candidates have passed the recruitment test, according to a notification from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

The results were published nearly a year after the preliminary test of this BCS was held in December 2021.

The circular of the 41st BCS was published on 27 November 2019, calling for applications against 2,135 posts in various cadres.

A record number of 475,000 applicants registered for the 41st BCS preliminary exam.

The two-hour preliminary test was held on 19 March 2021 after a long delay. The result of the preliminary test was out on 1 August 2021, with 21,056 candidates clearing the test.

The written tests were held at Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh centers simultaneously from 29 November to 7 December that year.
