Live Correspondent: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has gunned down a Bangladeshi youth at Jaflong of Gowainghat Upazila in Sylhet.
The incident took place near the Dawki Bridge around 11:30am on Saturday, said Gowainghat upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Nazmus Sakib.
He said BSF reportedly shot Kala Mia, 37, a stone quarry worker and resident of Nayabosti area of the upazila, as he entered the Indian territory.
The UNO said they are trying to ascertain why Kala Mia went there.
Though the Indian government has long been assuring to bring down the border killing to zero, BSF continues to kill Bangladeshis along different border areas.
