BMDC registrar among 14 sued in connection with licence forgery

Live Corrspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sued 14 people including Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) Registrar-in-Charge in connection with licence forgery.

ACC Deputy Director Salina Akhtar Moni filed the case with its integrated district office Dhaka-1 on Wednesday accusing the 14 people of graft charges.


Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee, ACC Director (media), said accused are BMDC registrar Md Jahidul Haque Bosunia and its administrative official Mohammad Borhan Uddin have been sued for issuing licence without verifying MBBS degree of the licensees.

Those who obtained licence using fake certificate are Md Imon Ali, Sudeb Sen, Tanmay Ahmed, Mahmudul Hasan, Md Moktar Hossain, Md Asadullah, Md Kawsar, Rahmat Ali, Sheikh Atiar Rahman, Md Saiful Islam, Md Aslam Hossain, and Mohammad Masud Parvaj.

The 12 students took part in BMDC’s registration examinations submitting fake MBBS certificate of China’s Taishan Medical University.

After taking the BMDC’s registration, they also started practicing as physician at different hospitals across the country. But the ACC in their probe found that the MBBS certificate of the 12 students are fake.
