4 more arrested in Tipu-Preeti murder case

Live Correspondent: Detectives have arrested four more persons in connection with the Motijheel Thana Awami League's former general secretary Zahidul Islam Tipu and college girl Samia Afrin Preeti murder case.
They are Sohel, Titu, Robin and Khairul. They were arrested on Saturday night, said Harun-or-Rashid, additional commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Branch.
With them, at least 18 persons have, so far, been arrested in the double murder case.
At night of March 24 last, the 54-year-old Zahidul Islam Tipu was shot dead at Shahajahanpur Amtola Masjid area in the capital. At that time, he was going to his Bagicha area residence.
During the indiscriminate firing, a college student Samia Afran Jamal who was on a rickshaw, also received bullet injuries. Both Tipu and Samia were pronounced dead after they were taken to the hospital.
