Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), was found dead as he was allegedly beaten to death at 3:00am.

The law enforcers have arrested at least eleven students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) for their alleged involvement in the killing of Abrar Fahad, a second-year student of electrical and electronics engineering at the university.

Mehedi Hasan Robin, organising secretary of BCL Buet unit, is a student of chemical engineering (session 2015-16).  

Ishtiaq Hasan Munna, publication affairs secretary of BCL Buet unit, is student of mechanical engineering (session 2015-16). 

Ifty Mosharraf Sokal, deputy social welfare affairs secretary of BCL Buet unit, is a student of biomedical engineering (session 2016-17)

Meftahul Islam Zian, sports affairs secretary of BCL Buet unit, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer (session 2015-16)
