JnU Live: All departments/offices of Jagannath University (JnU) have been closed from April 29 to May 5 due to the deteriorating corona virus situation extension of the lockdown period given by the government .This information was given by the registrar's office of the university on Thursday (April 29). A notification signed by the Registrar Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman has also been issued in this regard by the order of the acting Vice-Chancellor of JnU.
 
According to the notification, all the departments/offices of Jagannath University will be closed from April 29 to May 5 for the notification issued due to the deterioration of the corona virus situation as per the instructions of the Cabinet Division. At this time all the teachers, officers-employees will be in their respective workplaces.
 
The university's emergency services (electricity, water, gas, telephone and internet and security) will remain on during the lockdown, and other guidelines issued by the government will be complied with, the statement said.
 
Incidentally, the coronavirus infection is on the rise at an alarming rate. Earlier, the university closure period was extended from April 14 to April 21 and from April 21 to April 28.
