22nd International Mathematics Conference 2021 concludes

 

Live Correspondent: 22nd International Mathematics Conference 2021 held on 10-11 December 2021 in Virtual platform organized by Bangladesh Mathematical Society. The conference has been inaugurated by Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Honorable Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka on 10 December 2021 at 9:30 AM as a chief guest. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus Samad, Dean, Faculty of Science, DU was the special guest.

The session is chaired by Prof. Dr. Nurul Alam Khan, President of Bangladesh mathematical Society and conference Secretary, Prof. Dr. Md. Showkat Ali has given a welcome address in the session.

Honorable chief guest mentioned that mathematics has an important role to achieve sustainable development goals. Research in mathematics should be enhanced so that real-life problems can be dealt with locally and globally, he mentioned. He also praised all the activities of Bangladesh Mathematical Society in promoting mathematics education and research.

Honorable special guest pointed out in his speech that mathematical modeling is a significant tool to predict the severity of any pandemic, especially Covid-19 pandemic. Mathematics has an undeniable role in the 4th industrial revolution.
