Joy for Eid held at North South University
NSU Live: Eid comes as a moment of felicity for everyone across the nation. The holy day resembles the brotherhood amongst all the Muslims. Most people all over the country spends the day in a lavish and spendthrift manner. But that’s not the case for all.
There are a lot of poverty-stricken people who cannot spend the day in the same manner like most of us do. To resolve this unfair inequality, North South University Social Services Club arranges an event “Joy for Eid” for the underprivileged people around us.
This year, the event was held on 6th of August. The members of the club provided each of the underprivileged people a goodie bag that consisted of rice, vermicelli, oil, sugar, milk and all the essential spices that will truly bring the real joy of Eid to their house.
A total amount of 285 goodie bags were gifted to the underprivileged people living in the slum of Ghatpar and the blue collar employees of NSU.The event was hosted for a sole purpose of expressing the unconditional love the club members convey towards the deprived.
On the midst of the event, the President of the club Kaifi Sultana Kabbo quoted, “The smiling face and warm appreciation we received from them added more value to our event.
Through this event we, once again tried our level best to prove that NSUSSC always stands strong for the unfortunate ones. We try to be the strongholds that our society requires.”
