DU student drowns in Zahurul Haque Hall pond

DU Live: A student of Dhaka University drowned while bathing at a pond of Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall on Sunday. Deceased Polash Ahmed was a student of the Department of Anthropology.
He breathed his last at about 2:25 pm at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
It was learned that Polash drowned in the pond while bathing at noon. Fire Service and Civil Defence members reached the spot after 25 minutes of his drowning. But before their arrival, the deceased's friend and hallmates rescued Polash and took him to the hospital.
After arrival at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Polash was put on life support. There he died at 2:25 pm.
