BOU VC joins Commonwealth executive board meeting

BOU Live: Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University (BOU) Professor Dr. Syed Humayun Akhter participates in the Executive Board Meeting of Commonwealth Executive MBA/MPA in Mauritius. Prof. Asa Kanwar, CEO, and President of COL presided over the meeting.

Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Professor Dr. Syed Humayun Akhter said both CEMBA and CEMPA programs have created opportunities for high-quality learning and professional development for officials of business and government sectors in Bangladesh.  

“Review of the curriculum of these programs has been essential for addressing the issues of circular economy which focuses the sustainable development.”

The head of universities and their representatives from 10 out of the 12 universities attended the meeting by a consortium in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL).

These included the Allama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan, Bangladesh Open University, Botswana Open University, University College of the Cayman Islands, University of Guyana, National Open University of Mauritius, Wawasan Open University, Malaysia, Open University of Nigeria, University of Seychelles and the Open University of Sri Lanka.

The Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration(CEMBA) and Commonwealth Executive Master of Public Administration (CEMPA) Program is now expanded through partnerships with institutions in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. The Open University of Mauritius hosted the Executive Board Meeting of Commonwealth Executive MBA/MPA.
