DU Bijoy Ekattar Hall Trust Fund established

DU Live: Dhaka University ‘Bijoy Ekattar Hall Trust Fund’ has been established today. Provost of Bijoy Ekattar Hall Prof. Dr. A J M Shafiul Alam Buiyan handed over a cheque for Tk. 80 lac to DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin at a function held at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. This amount has been collected from various internal sources of the hall.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Dean of DU Arts Faculty Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hosain, Dean of Biological Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr. Md. Imdadul Hoque, Acting Registrar Md. Enamuzzaman, Acting Director of DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam, House Tutors of the hall and GS Najmul Hasan Nishan along with other leaders of the Hall Union were present on this occasion.

Out of the income of this trust fund, every year Provost Gold Medal, Provost Award and Scholarships will be given to meritorious students of Bijoy Ekattar Hall.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the provost for his initiative to establish this Trust Fund. He hoped that the students of the hall would be highly benefited and encouraged by this trust fund.

DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin also thanked Prof. Dr. A J M Shafiul Alam Buiyan for establishing this trust fund as the first Provost of Bijoy Ekattar Hall.
