IU opens digital library access centre

IU Live: The authorities of Islamic University (IU) have launched a digital library access centre on the campus in Kushtia for improving library facilities.

IU Vice-Chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the centre at Khademul Haramain Bandshah Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz central library as the chief guest, the university said in a press release on Sunday.

Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha, library automation committee convener Professor M Mahbubar Rahman were present as special guests.

While addressing the programme, the IU VC said they launched the digital library for the betterment of the library facilities. The students will have to register to get access.

“We also plan to set up an e-book corner for the students,” he said.
