29 students get Bangabandhu higher education stipend in Rajshahi

RajshahiLive: A total of 29 meritorious but insolvent students were given Bangabandhu higher education stipend to mark the Mujib Borsho 2020, birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Asha, one of the country’s leading NGOs, disbursed the financial support in a function at Ashrai Training and Resource Centre at Baya in Paba upazila of the district today.

Each of the beneficiary students who got a chance for admission in public universities and medical colleges in the academic session of 2019-2020 was given Taka 21,000 on the occasion.

Deputy Director of Local Government Division Parvej Raihan attended and addressed the distribution ceremony as the chief guest while District Education Officer Nasir Uddin,

District Primary Education Officer Abdus Salam and Asha Divisional Manager Abdul Jalil spoke as special guests with Executive Vice-president of Asha’s Programme and SME Division Sazzad Haider in the chair.
