Live Correspondent: The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on May 31 next.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally announce the results of the SSC examinations through a videoconferencing at Gonobhaban at 10 on that day, said an official releases issued by the Prime Minister’s office on Thursday.   

Earlier on May 11, Prof Ziaul Haque, Chief of Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said the results will be published online.

Zia said students will get the results sitting at home as it will be published online amid the closure of the educational institutions.

This year's SSC and equivalent examinations began on February 3 and completed on February 27 while the practical tests started on February 29 and ended on March 5.

Although the results were supposed to be published within 60 days after the examinations, it was not possible this year due to long vacation in the educational institutions following the coronavirus outbreak.

A total of 20,47,779 candidates took part in this year’s examinations.
