SSC results to be published Sunday

 

 

Live Correspondent: The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on Sunday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to declare the results through a videoconference from Gonobhaban at 10am, said Education Ministry public relations officer Mohammad Abul Khair.

Later, he said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will come up with detail information about the results at 12pm though a Facebook live programme.

Earlier on May 21, Prof Ziaul Haque, Chief of Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said though the closure of the educational institutions has been extended, the results will be published online.

Zia said students will get the results sitting at home as it will be published online amid the closure of the educational institutions.

This year's SSC and equivalent examinations began on February 3 and completed on February 27 while the practical tests started on February 29 and ended on March 5.

Although the results were supposed to be published within 60 days after the examinations, it was not possible this year due to long vacation in the educational institutions following the coronavirus outbreak. A total of 20,47,779 candidates took part in this year’s examinations.
