Want to introduce debate in all Educational Institution

 

Chandpur Live: Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni today said we want to introduce debate practice in every educational institution of the country. Bangladesh has a long tradition of debating.

“Our new generation should invent science-related technology as free-thinking and rational people. Practicing debating teaches a person to be rational and master the language. There is much to broaden and deepen knowledge on any subject, not just limited to institutional books. The biggest of these is debate,” she said at Bhashabir MA Wadud Memorial National Debate Festival at Chandpur Government College on Friday afternoon.

The Education Minister said that in the debate, there is an opportunity to see the same issue from many angles and there are many arguments for and against. With this, one learns to be patient. Through debate, there is an opportunity to consider an issue from many angles.

2,000 debaters and fans of debates from 1500 educational institutions of 32 universities of the country participated in the debating competition. 

At this time, Prof. Nehal Ahmed, director general of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, debate organizer Dr. Abdun Noor Tushar, Chandpur Government College Principal Prof. Dr. Asit Baran Das, Chandpur Sadar UP chairman Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan, Chandpur Press Club President Ghiyasuddin Milan, and others were present.
