285 get BAFWWA stipend

Live Correspondent: Bangladesh Air Force Women’s Welfare Association (BAFWWA) handed over stipend to 285 meritorious students at a ceremony at Shaheen Hall, Tejgaon in the city today.

Recipients of the stipend are the children of BAF members serving in Dhaka area. They were selected for the opportunity for their outstanding performance in SSC, HSC, ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level examinations this year.

BAFWWA President Yasmeen Zaman handed over the cheques of stipend to the students as the chief guest, said an ISPR press release.

Vice-Presidents of BAFWWA Central Committee, Spouses of senior BAF officers, invited Directors of Air Headquarters, Principals of BAF Shaheen Schools and Colleges of Dhaka area and guardians of stipend recipients were present.

Among the meritorious students, 63 students obtained golden GPA-5 in SSC and HSC examinations, 218 students obtained general GPA-5 in SSC and HSC, 3 students in ‘O’ level and one student in ‘A’ level examination.
