Katrina Kaif,Vicky Kaushal get death threat by struggling actor

 

 

Live Correspondent: Bollywood's highest-paid actress Katrina Kaif and her actor-husband Vicky Kaushal have received death threats on Instagram, prompting the celebrity couple to seek police protection.

A struggling actor has been arrested for allegedly giving death threat to actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal through social media, Mumbai police said. A case has been registered at Mumbai's Santacruz police station.

The actor, identified as Manvinder Singh is from Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, and was struggling to get work in films and TV series in Mumbai. The accused is a fan of Katrina Kaif, NDTV reports.

According to the police, the actors were getting threats on Instagram and the accused was also stalking Katrina Kaif and threatening her.

Based on the complaint, the Santacruz police here have registered an FIR against the man under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking), the official said.
