Entertainment Live: Late on Sunday night, Shah Rukh Khan visited the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir. The actor was captured in videos clicked by fans and shared on social media on Monday morning.

Shah Rukh's visit took place hours before the launch of Besharam Rang, the first song from his upcoming film Pathaan, his first in four years.

In a video shared by multiple fan accounts, Shah Rukh is seen in a black hoodie with his face covered while walking along with other pilgrims at Vaishno Devi. In another video, he is seen from behind walking toward the shrine.

In none of the videos is the actor's face visible. However, sources say that he visited Vaishno Devi around midnight on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

Many fans praised the actor's gesture of going there incognito even though he was surrounded by security personnel.

“He is walking with everyone and not taking special treatment. Very good,” tweeted one. Another replied, “Pathaan means so much for him that he is going for mannat.”

Many noted that this was the actor's second pilgrimage this month. Earlier in December, Shah Rukh had been clicked in Mecca performing the Umrah.

This visit was on the sidelines of his appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “He went to Mecca first and now Vaishno Devi. True secular King Khan,” wrote a fan.

Shah Rukh will soon be seen in Siddharth Anand's action thriller Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

The film, produced by Yash Raj Films, is said to include a crossover with Salman Khan's Tiger franchise. As per reports, Salman will appear as Tiger in a cameo in the film, after which Shah Rukh's Pathaan will be seen in Tiger 3 later on.

Pathaan is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on January 25, 2023. Shah Rukh was last seen on screen in a lead role in the 2018 release Zero.

Earlier this year, he appeared in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in an extended cameo. The actor has two other releases lined up in 2023--Dunki and Jawan.
