Committee formed to prevent air pollution

Live Correspondent: Ministry of local government and rural development has formed a committee to prevent air pollution in the capital headed by additional secretary Maran Kumar Chakraborti.

Local government ministry formed the committee in a policy making meeting at the conference of LGRD ministry.

The other committee members of are representative from Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation, Gazipur City Corporation, Narayanganj City Corporation,  Department of Environment , RAJUK, home ministry and finance ministry.

The committee was asked to submit a report on required logistics to keep the capital by arranging meeting among committee members.

LGRD minister Tazul Islam, DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam, GCC mayor Jahangir Alam and representatives of different government organizations were present at the meeting.
