PM’s special assistant Biplob Barua tests corona positive

Live Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s special assistant Barrister Biplob Barua has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Information Minister and Awami League joint general secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud confirmed the matter on Friday.
The minister said Biplob has been receiving treatment at his home as per the advice of the doctors.
He said Biplob underwent the corona test a few days back and his was positive.
Meanwhile, confirmed coronavirus cases in Bangladesh have surged to 130,474 with the registration of 3,868 more infections in the past 24 hours till Friday.
Besides, the death toll from Covid-19 has stood at 1,661 with the deaths of 40 more people during the period.
