Bd logs highest 74 COVID-19 deaths in a single day

Live Correspondent: Bangladesh logged highest 74 deaths in a single day in the past 24 hours on Wednesday and 6,854 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Wednesday.

With this, the death toll hits 9,521 and infections to 666,132. The Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 update.

Among the deceased, 48 were male 26 were female patients. Some 33,193 specimens were tested in the timeline at 243 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 49,15,758 specimens as of April 8.   

A total of 3,391 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 565,030.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
