Covid claims 91 more in Bangladesh

Live Correspondent: Bangladesh logged an additional 91 Covid-19 deaths and 4,559 infections in the past 24 hours on Tuesday counting the death toll to 10,588 and infections to 727,780 in the country.

A Directorate General of Health Services handout came up with the latest Covid-19 update. Among the deceased, 58 were male 33 female patients.

Some 27,056 specimens were tested in the timeline at 265 labs across the country.Bangladesh had tested a total of 52,21,275 specimens as of April 20.   

A total of 6,811 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 628,111.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first Covid-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
