Bangladesh reports 94 deaths, 3,724 cases from Covid-19

Live Correspondent: Bangladesh on Monday reported 3,724 Covid-19 cases while the deadly virus claimed overnight 94 lives. “The country reported 12.07 percent Covid-19 positive cases as 30,855 samples were tested in the past 24 hours,” the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its routine daily statement.

The official tally showed that the lethal virus killed 26,109 people and infected 14,97,261 so far, the statement added. The recovery count rose to 14,21,883 after another 6,186 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past day.

The DGHS statistics showed of the people infected from the beginning 94.97 percent recovered, while 1.74 percent died.
 
Dhaka division reported the highest 43 deaths, while Chattogram 27, Sylhet seven, Rajshahi six, Khulna five, and Mymensingh four. One each died in Barishal and Rangpur divisions. Of them, 45 were men and 49 women.
