President off to London for health check-up

Live Correspondent: President M Abdul Hamid left here for London this morning for health check-up and treatment of eyes. A VVIP flight (BG-001) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:35 am, a Bangabhaban spokesman told BSS.

The head of the state is scheduled to have his check-up at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

Alam, Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, Foreign Secretary M Shahidul
Haque, chiefs of the three services, police chief and high civil and military
officials saw him off at the VVIP Lounge of the airport.
