JUST Live: Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that the government will bring big changes to make country's education joyful. “We have to come out from the conventional thinking and bring massive changes in the education system to make education joyful. The teaching must be joyful and students will learn lessons with pleasure,” she said

.
Dipu Moni came up with the remarks while inaugurating “Sheikh Russel Gymnasium” at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) on Saturday.

“Our education system is very much dependent on exams and certificates. At the same time, the education from pre-primary to university level is joyless. We want to bring enjoyment in education so that curiosity will grow among the students.”

Mentioning that they are focusing on the quality of education, not only the numbers of the students, she said “Competition is increasing in the modern job markets. That is why we are working to build skilled manpower following the directives of our Prime Minister.”

Dipu Moni said education is the biggest tool to face global challenges while skills are the only criterion for survival in the world. Students need to develop as skilled human resources through science, information and technology.

JUST Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Anwar Hossain presided over the event while Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, JUST Treasurer Prof Md Abdul Mazid, Dean’s committee convener Dr Md Nasim Reza also spoke among others at the event.
