Nepalese UGC Chairman calls on Professor Shahidullah

 

 

Live Correspondent: Professor Bhim Prasad Subedi, PhD, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal, called on Professor Dr. Kazi Shahidullah, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh at the latter’s office on Wednesday.

UGC Chairman Professor Kazi Shahidullah welcomed his counterpart Professor Bhim Prasad Subedi at his office and informed him briefly about the history of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and higher education scenario of the country.

He mentioned that relationship between UGC of Bangladesh and Nepal needs to be strengthened for promotion and internationalization of higher education of these friendly countries.

Professor Bhim Prasad Subedi exchanged his experiences regarding the activities of UGC, Nepal for higher education, relationship with the government, governance of universities and the recruitment policies of Vice-Chancellors in Nepal.

Moreover, issues relating to National Qualification Framework, Accreditation Council and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell came up in the discussion.

During the meeting, Professor Dr.  Dil  Afroza Begum,  Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Professor Dr. Muhammed  Alamgir, Members of UGC and Professor Mohammad Sahid Ullah, Department of Communication and Journalism, University of Chittagong were prese.
