244 Bangladeshis infected with coronavirus in Singapore

Live Correspondent: A total of 244 Bangladeshis have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Singapore so far, the foreign ministry of the country confirmed on Thursday.

Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan confirmed this to his Bangladeshi counterpart Dr AK Abdul Momen over the phone.

The Singapore minister also confirmed that the Bangladeshi expatriate workers are getting full wages and other facilities, including free food and medical services, although the country has shut down all construction works.

The country is taking care of all the infected Bangladeshis there.
Among the first five cases in Bangladeshi expatriates, four have recovered and the condition of one critical patient has improved too.

So far, a total 1,481 cases diagnosed with coronavirus in Singapore.
