Live correspondent: Demise of 247 people and 664 others injured in 185 road crashes across the country during the Eid vacation. And also, at least 26 people were also killed in waterways and railways accidents in the country. 

Passengers’ Rights Protection Council unveiled the report at a press conference held at the National Press Club on Wednesday in Dhaka.

Based on the reports published on 18 national newspapers, 6 regional newspapers and 10 online news portals from 30th May to 10th June, the council prepared the report.

The council also took information from the national orthopedic hospital to prepare the report. 

Brigadier General (rtd) GM Kamrul Islam, president of the council, addressed at the press conference. Some members of the council including its general secretary Md Samsuddin Chowdhury were present among others.

Brigadier General also added that the public should build awareness and the Government should take necessary actions.
