Aunt-niece crushed under train in Sirajganj

 

Sirajganj  Live;  Two female persons were crushed under train while speaking over phone sitting on rail line at Mulibari check post area of Sayedabad union of Sirajganj Sadar upazila on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Asinur Khatun, 38, wife of Sukur Ali hailing from Kalia Haripur union of Sirajganj upazila and Nupur Khatum, 16, daughter of Montu Sarkar hailing from Jamtoil village of Kamarkhand upazila of the district.

Sub-inspector (SI) of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station Anisur Rahman said Asinus was speaking over mobile phone while sitting on the rail line with her niece Nupur.

In the mean time Khulna-bound Sundarban Express coming from Dhaka crushed them, leaving Asinur dead on the spot and Nupur severely injured.

Later, the locals rescued Nupur and took her to Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after getting admitted, the SI added.
