Live Correspondent: The second channel of the Bangabandhu Tunnel under the Karnaphuli river will be opened following the completion of construction work on October 8.

Planning Minister MA Manan came up with this information after the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting on Tuesday (October 5).

The planning minister also said the scheduled date of opening this tunnel is December 22, 2022. But it is hoped that it would be possible to launch this tunnel before the scheduled date. It is of course a matter of great pleasure, he added.
