Quader was speaking as the chief guest at the triennial conference of Mymensingh District Awami League early Saturday (December 3) afternoon.

Referring to the conversation between Tareque Rahman and an Awami League cadre over a phone, Quader said, "Perhaps, you heard the conversation where it was told that "you won't leave the roads. Hasina is looking for fleeing the country. Hasina's ministers are also looking for leaving the country en masse."

"But, this time, there will be games against Hawa Bhaban and corruption. There will be a battle against looting. Khela Hobey in this month of December. We will take to streets and roads in cities, districts, thanas, wards, paras and mahallas," he said.

Pointing to the BNP's rally in Rajshahi city, Obaidul Quader said they are holding a divisional rally in Rajshahi, while there is a flood of people at Awami League rally in Mymensingh. Processions are coming one after another. We will show them in Chattogram what is called grand rally. "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already told us that our main slogan in the next general election will be 'Smart Bangladesh.'

Earlier, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader inaugurated the triennial conference of Mymensingh District and City Awami League at Circuit House ground in Mymensingh city.

Presided over by District AL president Advocate Zahirul Huque Khoka and moderated by District AL general secretary Advocate Moazzem Hossain Babul and City AL general secretary Mohit ur Rahman Shanto, the rally was also addressed by Agriculture minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque, joint general secretary Education minister Dr Dipu Moni, organising secretary Ahmad Hossain, Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Cultural Affairs secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed, State Minister for Culture KM Khalid, AL central committee members Raymond Areng and Marufa Akter Popy.
