''Govt to bring back top criminal Zeesan soon''

Live Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Friday said the government will bring back top listed fugitive criminal Zeesan Ahmed, who was arrested at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) two days ago, soon.

In reply to a query from reporters, he made the remark after inaugurating a Puja Mandap, arranged by Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Sangha at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh in the capital’s Farmgate area this evening.

“The process of bring back Zeesan Ahmed to Bangladesh is underway. We will bring him back very soon,” the minister said.Earlier, on Thursday, quoting Dubai Police, assistant inspector general of the Bangladesh National Central Bureau Mohiul Islam disclosed the information that

“Police are preparing documents to bring him back from Dubai”, he said, adding that “the bureau is communicating with the Interpol.”

Dubai polices seized a passport of India from Zeesan in which he was named as Ali Akbar Choudhury.Zeesan is on the home ministry’s list of 23 top criminals, published a decade ago.
