NSU Live: North-South University Public Health and Sciences Club has launched a campaign called "Shuru Theke Surokkha". Honorable Vice-Chancellor of North South University Professor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the campaign.
During the inauguration, Honorable Pro-VC Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Treasurer Prof. ABM Rashedul Hassan, Professor & Dean of SHLS Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza, Department Chair of Public Health Dr. Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader, Professor Dr. Dipak Kumar Mitra, Faculty Advisor of North South Public Health & Sciences Club Dr. S Mahmud Mishu and other faculty members of the Public Health Department were also present.
Vice-Chancellor of North South University Professor Atiqul Islam stated during the inauguration of the campaign that masks and sanitizers are essential during this pandemic. He thanked North South University Public Health & Sciences Club for taking this initiative and for providing the most demanding accessories. He also appreciated SHLS and the Department of Public Health. He also advised to follow all the steps of a hygienic lifestyle.
While inaugurating the campaign, Dean of SHLS, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza said that North South University is providing all the hygiene facilities and strictly following the protocol of Covid -19 for all the students who are attending on-campus classes. He also added the importance of wearing masks properly as well as asked everyone to follow the intra-campus hygiene guidelines and instructions.
For this campaign, North South University Public Health & Sciences Club has set up a booth that has several components including Hand examination with UV ray (automated device for hand hygiene practice), Hand hygiene instructions and demonstration, Smartphone sanitization device, hand sanitizer, and facial mask, along with Brochure or handbill on Covid-19 protocol/ intra-campus health instructions for students, faculty members and staffs of North South University.
The booth has been set up in front of boy’s lounge of North South University. In addition, a photo booth along with a signing booth for those who are vaccinated has been set up in the plaza area of North South University.
With the hard work of the North South University Public Health and Sciences club team including the faculty advisor, executive body panel, sub-executive body panel, and all the members, a successful start of this health campaign has been possible.
