Dhaka University admission test in 4 units from 2022-23 session

DU Live: Dhaka University (DU) authorities on Tuesday approved the strategy of holding the first-year undergraduate (honors) admission tests under 4 units from the 2022-23 academic session.

This strategy was approved in a meeting of the Dean's Committee held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban with the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.

A DU press release made the information public on Tuesday. From the 2022-23 academic session, the admission test of the university will be held in four units --- 'Arts, Law and Social Science Unit' for Humanities background students, 'Science Unit' for Science,

Agricultural Science, and equivalent background students, 'Business Studies Unit' for Business Studies background students, and 'Fine Arts Unit' for all background students of higher secondary level.

To change groups, the students of the Science and Business Studies group can participate in the admission test of the 'Arts, Law and Social Science Unit' for admission to the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Social Sciences and related institutes.

For admission in Mathematics and Statistics under Science Faculty, students of the Humanities group have to take the admission test in Bangla, English, Information Technology, and Mathematics/Statistics in the 'Science Unit admission test.

Humanities and Science group students can appear in the admission test of the 'Business Studies Unit' where they have to take tests in Bangla, English, Information Technology, and Economics/Mathematics for admission to the Faculty of Business Studies.

The admission tests of this university would be held in five units --- Ka Unit under the Faculty of Science, Kha Unit under the Faculty of Arts, Ga Unit under the Faculty of Business Studies, Gha Unit under the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Cha Unit under the Faculty of Fine Arts.
