NSU signs MoU with PROSHIKA

Live Correspondent: North South University signed an agreement with renowned Bangladesh based NGO Proshika after a joint seminar held at NSU on Sunday. Top officials from both the stakeholders were present in the event. From NSU, vice-chancellor professor Atiqul Islam led the meeting.

NSU School of Business and Economics dean Helal Ahammad was also present, along with directors and chairpersons from relevant departments.

On Proshika’s end, the meeting was led by chief executive Serajul Islam. Along with him, deputy chief executive and directors of relevant programs participated.

The newly signed MoU will promote joint research and publications, internships and training opportunities, and grants mobilization for research and other academic activities through an institutional collaboration between NSU and PROSHIKA, which will be beneficial to both parties.

Both NSU and PROSHIKA will encourage research collaboration in areas of mutual interest, especially, research in the areas of policy advocacy, education, poverty governance, health, food, nutrition, agriculture, disaster management, development of southern parts, social forestry and climate change risk management, women’s development and empowerment and gender discrimination that is designed to improve the lives of the underprivileged people of Bangladesh.

Furthermore, NSU and Proshika will jointly work and share resource with an aim to achieve the SDG targets in compliance with the Bangladesh Government.
