NSU Observes the ‘Historic 7th March’ Speech of Bangabandhu

NSU Live: North South University (NSU) commemorated the ‘Historic 7th March’ speech of Bangabandhu with a discussion meeting and cultural program at its campus. The event was graced by the presence of Aroma Dutta, honorable Member of Parliament of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest, and chaired by Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, NSU. The session featured a video screening of the historical speech of Bangabandhu, including a presentation of a paper by Professor Sharif Uddin Ahmed, Department of History and Philosophy, NSU. Professor Abdur Rob Khan, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences welcomed all.

In her remarks Ms. Arma Dutta observed that Bangabandhu's 7th March speech was characterized by universality. “A nation's dream, struggle and direction for the future were given in the rhyme", she added.


NSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Atiqul Islam termed Bangabandhu's speech as one of the best speeches in the world. "This speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is one of the best political speeches in the world", he said.


The discussion session was followed by a cultural program organized by NSU Shangskritik Shangathan (NSUSS). Professor M. Ismail Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor delivered the vote of thanks at the end of the program.


The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Professor Javed Bari, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, NSU, Professor Hasan Mahmud Reza, Dean, School of Health & Life Sciences, NSU, Professor Helal Ahammad, Dean, School of Business & Economics, NSU.
