Seminar held at Islamic University

IU Live: A regional seminar titled ‘contemporary issues in economic development of Bangladesh’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday. IU economics department and Bangladesh Economic Association were jointly organised the seminar at Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium around 10am.

The Univeristy vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari was inaugurated the programme with economics departmental professor M Abdul Muyeed was in the chair.

Mithila Tanzi, Lecturer of the department conducted the programme with Bangladesh Economic Association president Abul Barkat spoke out the seminar as the chief guest while IU pro-vice-chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, treasurer Prof Dr M SelimToha also spoke out here as the special guests.

Alamgir Hossain Bhuya, Departmental Prof and convener of the programme while Prof Dr Jahangir Alam, Prof Abu Raihan, Prof Kazi Mostofa Arif, Associate Prof Israt Jahan Rupa, Assistant Partho Sarathi Laskar, Abdul Jalil Pathan, Farha Tanzim Titil, Shahed Ahamed, Lecturer Humaun Kabir, Shamima Nasrin, about five hundred students and sixty freedom fighter were presented here.
