PSTU suspends 15 students over ragging

PUST Live: The authorities of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) have suspended its 15 students for their alleged involvement in ragging. A notice, signed by registrar of the university Dr Swadesh Chandra Samanta, was issued in this regard on Thursday evening.

Fifteen students were caught by the hall provost while they were ragging residential students of Sher- e-Bangla-1 dormitory on the night of January 13. The accused 15 students have been suspended as the students’ disciplinary board of the university found them guilty in a primary investigation, the notice reads.

The suspended students are: Agriculture Faculty students Ramzan Sheikh, Md Samiul Alam, Md Jahangir Alam, Md Sifat Hossain, Md Khalid Hasan Milu, Roni Hossain and Business Administration and Management (BAM) Faculty students Monirul Islam, Md Mehedi Hasan, Bhuyian Md Abu Sufian, Muktadir Ahmad, Food and Nutrition Faculty students Md Jayadul Haque Miazi, Md Shaheen, Fisheries faculty students SK Sefatul Islam, Md Mohtasim Araf and Shakib Ahmed Partho.
