CU professor Dr Jahangir Alam dies

 

 

CU Live: Jahangir Alam, a teacher of Chittagong University (CU), died of a heart attack at a private hospital in the port city on Sunday morning.The former dean of the faculty of Business Administration breathed his last at around 6:00 am.

Moazzem Hossain, Professor of management department of Faculty of Business Administration in the university, said he was taken to CSCR hospital after he fell sick following chest pain.

Jahangir Alam, who was former president of the finance department and director of CUCBS, left behind a daughter and a son.

Chittagong University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shirin Akhtar and various organisations including CU Teachers Association have expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Jahangir, and conveyed sympathy to bereaved family members.
