BDU VC pays tributes to martyred intellectuals

Live Correspondent: On the occasion of the Martyred Intellectuals Day on Monday, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor paid tributes to the martyred intellectuals.

He placed wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur in the capital and stood there in solemn silence for a while as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the illustrious sons of the soil, said a press release.

After placing the wreath, VC Munaz Ahmed Noor said, “Sensing inevitable rout, Pakistani occupation forces aided by their local collaborators murdered our veteran intellectuals to make our nation talentless on the night of December 14, 1971.”

He also urged to the new generation to turn the anguish of losing our intellectuals into an indomitable force to materialize the dream of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Sonar Bangla’s modern form ‘Digital Bangladesh’ under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.”

Among others, Registrar Md. Ashraf Uddin, Professor Dr Akhteruzzaman, Senior System Analyst Muhammad Shahinul Kabir, Programmer Anit Kumar Roy and other officers and employees of the university were also present on the occasion.
