DU starts in-person classes

DU Live: Teachers and students of Dhaka University (DU) got very much excited as the varsity has reopened after 18 months of closure.
 
The authorities of the university examined the students' body temperature before allowing them to enter their classrooms on Sunday.

Hand sanitizers were also kept at the entrance of the university.
 
A festive atmosphere was prevailing on the campus as students reunited with their friends and peers after a long time.
 
Prof Abu Md Delwar Hossain, Dean of the Arts Faculty, said classes and examinations began at 8 am and would continue until 5 pm today.
 
Antika Tabassum, a third-year student of the Islamic Studies department, said, "We got excited after coming back to classrooms and seeing everyone again."
 
The university reopened residential halls on October 5 for students maintaining all COVID-safety protocols.
