DU PhD application opens for 2022-2023 academic-years

DU Live: The Dhaka University authorities have called the Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) program aspirants for the 2022-2023 academic year (January-June) to apply.
Eligible candidates can download the Ph.D. application form from the university website https://du.ac.bd and have to deposit Tk 1,000 to Janata Bank, TSC corporate branch, said a press release.
The aspirants were asked to submit the application to the chairmen or directors of their respective departments or institute with a synopsis of research and other documents, attested by the chairmen or director of their respective department or institute.
Aspirants have to apply for the program after selecting supervisors from the respective departments and institutes, added the release.
Applicants must have 2nd class in all level academic results-GPA 3.5 required out of 5 in SSC/HSC level and a CGPA of 3 required out of 4.0 scale in graduate level - with at least 50% marks in each level.
Students have to have 2 years of teaching experience or two years of job experience in the private sector, added the release.
Candidates must have an M.Phil degree or four-year Honors with one year of master's or a three-year graduate degree with a one-year master from any public university.
Aspirants, who completed graduation and post-graduation from private universities, cannot apply for the DU Ph.D. program directly; rather they have to complete Mphil from the premier university first before applying for Ph.D.
