IU Chhatra Union gets new committee

 

Live Correspondent: The Islamic University unit of the Bangladesh Chhatra Union has formed its 27-member new executive committee, said a press release on Saturday.

Emanul Shohan of Bangla department and Mukhlesur Rahman Sweet of folklore studies department were made president and general secretary respectively of the committee.

The committee was announced on Friday evening in IU Chhatra Union unit’s 17th council at the ground floor of Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium on the campus in Kushtia.

The other office bearers of the committee are- Mahmudul Hasan and Mehedi Rafi as vice-presidents, Delowar Hossain and Uday Debnath as assistant general secretary, Obaidur Rahman Anas as organising secretary, Nur Alam as treasurer, Ahsan Habib Rana as office secretary, Ahmad Galib as education and research affairs secretary, Sadia Mahmud Mim as science and technology affairs secretary, Majedul Islam Uzzal as publicity and publication affairs secretary, Sumon Sheikh as cultural affairs secretary, Ashifur Rahman as sports secretary and Imtiaz Emon as social welfare and environment affairs secretary.

G K Sadik, Azizul Haque Piash, Monir Hossain and Mamun are the executive members of the committee, the release said. Teachers and students of different left-leaning organisations congratulated the new committee of the university unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Union.
