Live Correspondent: A unified admission test will be held in all universities of the country from the next academic year 2023-2024. Besides, National Testing Authority (NTA) will be formed for conducting the admission test.
Education Minister Dipu Moni made the remarks following a meeting on unified admission test held at University Grants Commission (UGC) office on Monday.
UGC chairman Professor Kazi Shahidullah presided over the meeting where its members Professor Dil Afroza Begum, Professor Md Sazzad Hossain. Professor Muhammed Alamgir, Professor Biswajit Chanda, and Professor Md Abu Taher, were present, among others.
The Education Minister said a committee, led by the UGC chairman, will be formed soon regarding the unified admission test.
“Details on how to take the unified admission test will be discussed with the deans of the universities and examination committees. Schedule of the unified admission test will be published after HSC examinations,” she said.
UGC member Muhammed Alamgir delivered the welcome speech in the meeting while Professor Dil Afroza Begum presented concept paper on unified admission test.
