Continue protest seeking JU VC’s removal

JU Live: A section of students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) started demonstration on the campus on Wednesday morning demanding removal of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Farzana Islam.

They brought out a procession from Murad Chattar around 10:30am and stopped in front of the old administrative building after marching through the campus.

Later, they staged a sit-in protest in front of the administrative building. A number of teachers also expressed solidarity and joined them.
Students also demanded punishment those involved in Tuesday’s attack which left at least 35 people injured.

Authorities shut down the university for an indefinite period following a clash between protesters and ‘VC-backed teachers and Chhatra League men’.
