Promote research in Mathematics in Developing Countries

DU Live: Local committee of CIMPA (a non-profitable organization of France, Switzerland, Spain, Norway established in 1978), with the mission to promote research in mathematics in developing countries, is going to organize an International Research School on Dynamical Systems and its Applications to Biology during June 10-21, 2019.

A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation at A F Mujibur Rahman Ganit Bhaban, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh on 10 June 2019 at 10, am will present in inaugural ceremony.

Around 55 faculty members, researchers are participating in this school from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt and Malaysia. 7 leading specialists from  French, Germany, Brazil, Spain and Austria working in this area will deliver lectures in the proposed school.

This type of research school will be organized first time ever in mathematics
education in Bangladesh. The main objective of this school is to attract mathematicians working in this area to enhance research experience and explore their knowledge globally.

It will help to develop communication with internationally recognized researchers. It is also expected that the Research School 2019 will help the Mathematicians to open paths to research in the area of Mathematics and Biology as follows:

The research school will explore the fundamental development of research in Mathematical Biology, the young intellectuals from home and nearby abroad will help each other to better understand research works, local and international researchers will help each other to develop collaborative research opportunities, it will help to modify different population growth models, epidemic model, virus model, tumor
growth model, Cancer growth model etc in research of Mathematical Biology.


CIMPA Research School on Dynamical Systems and its Applications to Biology will be
inaugurated by Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Md Akhtaruzzman, Chief guest Deputy Minister of Education Mr. Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, MP and special guest Ambassador of France in Bangladesh Mrs. Marie Annick BOURDIN and Mr. M Nurul Alam, Trustee.

Closing session of the school will be held on 21 June 2019 at 3:00PM A F Mujibur Rahman Ganit Bhaban, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahidullah will be the chief guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka Prof. Dr. Mohummad Samad, Dean of Science faculty Prof. Dr. Tofail Ahmad Chowdhury and Trustee, A F Mujibur Rahman Foundation Prof Dr. Perween Hasan will be special guest.

External Coordinator Dr. Renaud Leplaideur, Professor of Nouvelle University in
France, CIMPA Representative in Bangladesh, Dr. Lidia Fernandez Rodriguez, Professor of Universidad de Granada, Spain and Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Professor of Dhaka University is responsible as Local Coordinator of this school.
