Three DU students get Farid-Shireen Scholarship

DU Live: Three meritorious students of different departments under the Faculty of Arts of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded “Farid-Shireen Trust Fund Scholarship” for their outstanding academic performances. The recipients of scholarship are Mahmudul Ahsan of Arabic department, Zakia Jahan Aany from Linguistics department and Mithila Acharya from Dance department.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman distributed the scholarships among the students as the chief guest today at the VC’s lounge of the university. Congratulating the awardees, the VC called upon them to make themselves as worthy citizen of the country. He also thanked the donors for their endowment.

Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain, Registrar Md. Enamuzzaman and donor of the Trust Fund Md. Farid Miah were present on this occasion.
